January 6, 2022 – An update from the VAN-PAH President, Figaro.
Dear Friends of VAN-PAH
As you may or may not have heard, VAN-PAH’s membership recently made the difficult decision to dissolve VAN-PAH as a BC Society. At the November 18, 2021 Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the active membership, the members voted on several key issues as provided for by the VAN-PAH Bylaws and the BC Societies Act.
The membership voted to dissolve VAN-PAH as a BC Society as well voting on key directives for the Board of VAN-PAH to follow during this process. Members voted to have the Board decide how best to distribute VAN-PAH’s assets by way of sale, donation, or recycling. Other directives focused on membership dues, donations to the Leather Archives in Chicago, IL, as well as how the Board should distribute the final cash assets of VAN-PAH.
The dissolution of VAN-PAH is not the end of the puppy community in Vancouver. We believe that the community will thrive in the days and months ahead as new individuals or groups come forward to provide the events and opportunities that the community desires.
We, the Board of VAN-PAH, wish to thank everyone for their dedication to VAN-PAH since it’s inception in 2012, and we look forward to what comes next for the community.
